Planning your stay at Karirangi Holiday Park? Here are some of the most common questions we receive from guests, covering everything from what to bring to where to eat nearby.

At this stage, we do not offer powered caravan sites. We recommend checking back in the future as we’re always looking at ways to improve our facilities.
We accept cash on site and internet banking transfers. If you prefer to pay in person, please let us know in the Special Requests field when you make your booking. Full banking details are provided in your confirmation email. Note: We’re located in a remote area and internet coverage can be patchy. EFTPOS may not be available during outages, so we recommend preparing alternative payment options just in case.
Yes! We have cellphone coverage at the park and free Wi-Fi is available for all guests.
We have a wide range of amenities to make your stay comfortable and fun. check out our amenities page for more information.
Yes! Some of our spaces can be reserved for private use or small events — subject to availability. Please message our page or contact us for more info and pricing.
There are no major supermarkets (like New World or Pak’nSave) nearby. However, you can pick up essentials at: Te Kaha General Store – approx. 16 mins by car Waihau Bay General Store – approx. 20 mins by car We recommend doing your main grocery shopping in larger towns like Ōpōtiki, Gisborne, or Te Araroa before you arrive.
You’ve got a few great local options: Waihau Bay Lodge – for dine-in meals and a great view Te Kaha Beach Resort – meals, snacks, and drinks Waihau Bay General Store – tasty fish & chips and hot takeaway items
